Word from insiders at Universal Artists, International is Joe Stern-McGovern, in his continual drive for supremacy within the world of music, has acquired a Hope Diamond of his own, the one, the only Ms. Fame, the Empress of Hip Hop.
What does the future hold for Universal Artists’ reign of glory in today’s market? With Ms. Fame aboard, skeptics and fans alike see nothing but green, gold, and platinum. In the words of an EMI insider, “The name Ms. Fame is synonymous with cash money, gold at the end of the rainbow, and albums pressed out destined for nothing but pure platinum, period!!”
According to one source at Sony/BMG, “Ms. Fame cannot and will not bow to any hurdle. She is a driving force in the world of hip hop. She is a brilliant elocutionist and master of not only the Dirty South phenomena, but every and any form of rap music which is prevalent in today’s market.” The Sony/BMG insider goes on to say in regards to Ms. Fame’s standing amongst a genre filled with testosterone, “The name, Ms. Fame, is aptly appropriate, as this firecracker is a master MC, superior to those peers within the genre, and those whose gender seem to overpower the female voice of today. She’s a savior, a real Joan of Arc in the world of hip hop.”A giddy teenage, fan has traveled from distant Paris, and waits outside one of Atlanta’s hottest nightclubs, Obsession, for hours on end waiting for a single glimpse of her own personal American idol.
